I did not attack her. I don't know her and don't judge whether her argument is right or wrong. Just make a comment to let us focus on education, not pick on fighting on small things not interesting to most other parents.
I do not care whether old HX students' old writtings shown in the HXG, since HX equally split to HXG and HXC. Both sides entitle to show HX traditions. No big deal.
I don't care how Lin edit his daughter's writing, that should be discussed between the teacher and that parent during the semester, not now, not in the public.

We would like to take this opportunity to clarify some of the issues you have raised after receiving many competing advertising emails asking parents to pre-register for the fall.
A bitter dispute among our top school officials culminated in a lawsuit filed by the former principal Dapeng Hu and PC chair Yawen Liu against the 4 majority Board members. The 2 sides finally agreed to settle the dispute last week. Dapeng Hu, Yawen Liu and the 3 minority will depart to start a school of their own at a different location.
The name of our school is now Huaxia New York Central Chinese School (HXNYC or 华夏纽约中文学校WCC ).
We ARE the school that inherited the legal entity of the former HXNY which has been and will remain a not-for-profit organization with a 501(c)(3) status. We are the same school which, on June 17, elected the new principal Yang Dai and PC chair Liang Cao. As have been in the past 16 years, we will continue to operate at the WCC campus on Sunday mornings, offering 2 hours of Chinese language class and 1 hour of recreational/cultural class from 9:30 to 12:30.
We sincerely hope that you and your family will join us at WCC in the fall. We need one another to rebuild our community where educating our children takes top priority, where parents no longer have to choose sides. With your help, we will recover from the worst crisis in our school history. With your help, we will bring back a culture of trust, a spirit of volunteerism and camaraderie. Together, we will give our children a harmonious and stimulating environment to achieve and to thrive.

What do you mean "want to play tricks"? Did DAI use HXNY? How about Great New York? It sounds so so "Small". Let talking about the honesty, do you want people to list how many lies Hu's side have done? Even lied in front of the judge!

Lin isn't part of last year's settlement. She has no say what so ever. As always, you guys just try to make accusation without evidence.

if you have ever read the paper, you know that he sued 4 board members for doing the legal voting. If there were no settlement, Judge will judge if the SVC voting is legal or not.

Complaint #5...Under the Valid Bylaws, the principal and the parent council chairperson, upon completion of their terms, automatically succeed to positions on the Board of Directors. Mr. Hu and Ms. Liu took office a year ago, as principal and parent council chairperson, respectively, under the Valid Bylaws with the expectation that they would become directors at the completion of the current school year. The Rejected Bylaws would deprive them of those positions…
Complaint #14: “Any nomination or vote pursuant to the illegitimate set of bylaws will irreparably harm the plaintiffs as Plaintiffs Hu and Liu are scheduled to become Board members pursuant to the Valid bylaws”。
Complaint#16: "Interim relief is needed to prevent the nomination and election of new directors to the seats that Plaintiffs Hu and Liu are entitled to occupy under the Valid Bylaws。"

who are the best teachers in your eyes? What standard are you using to measure the best teachers? Usually teachers don't like to change textbooks, because it put extra work on them, they need to re-prepare the course. For those who taught MLP, Meizhou Hua Yu, they are open minded, willing to take the challenges and put extra effort to teach a new course. They are among the best!

I don't like the way people are declaring that they have the best teacher. But, I disagree with you. I do respect all teachers who are willing put their hearts on our kids, I do think most of MLP teachers we had are very good. I believe both schools will try their best to get good teachers.
how do you know how many those posts are from WCC and HXGNY, some posts could from just one person. Since I don't have the evident so I could not say you are from HXGNY, right?
I checked the new school website. HXGNY.org. It is adding content everyday, introduction, brochure,classes offered(language, culture), registration policy and so on. It seems a very capable team working hard on it. A modern, education focus, new school start to form at a nice campus. I am very excited for my kids.
Go check it out, HXGNY.org. forget the meaningless fighting. Do not miss the opportunity for your own kids!
Regardless of all, I have to admit Hu's team is more efficient, more united and more focused on education. Just took a look at the website, it did add a lot more information now. The culture class is very impressive.

Please, do not claim anyone is some kind of education expert or something so glory! The Chinese school here is only a place to let the children learn the basics of Chinese and that is all! Where are the credentials of the education expert? Because being a chick school professor? So shameless!

It shows the character of the school officials! They claim they will teach good value, but look at what they are doing, can you trust them? they are cheaters!
I don't like the settlement, but now I calm down and only believe the fact than the words on the web. Let's wait to see the teacher's list before making any decision.
Not just the teacher, I also want to see who is in admin team and the board. If those 3 board members, Hu, Liu and even Guo are in the board and there is no plan for the election, I have to believe the purpose for those people to split our school is just only for them to stay power forever.

I will go to Greater New York. The teachers are far better. The bios are very clear. Most parents will choose school based on teachers and culture classer they offer, not based on the political games.
HXGNY can't open cultural classes because they didn't get any teachers. Right now, they only have Olympic Math, Painting, Dance and SAT classes. That is why they throw you all these inexperienced language teachers who WCC don't want at all.
He/She pointed out that there are at least 4 of teachers in HXCNY at WCC who claimed as "experienced HX teachers", but never teach a signal day! what a joke. Though I don't agree the way He/She spread the information, I appreciate the fact it discovered. Otherwise, ordinary parents never know the tricks WCC people play.
I received the letter from Chenmo today and responded to him/her that I do not want any this kind of emails from him/her at all in future.
I have no idea who Chenmo is but I do not like the behavior at all. As parents, you have every right to make choice on school for your own children for whatever reason. However, if you want to make impact on other parents with their decisions, by all means using your own real name, NOT THE NONSENSE fake name!

Agree. I was going to Greater New York. After I received the anonymous letter and I am so worried about the quality of the people/adults/parents there. So low and ugly. I decide not to go. Because it is more important to be a good human being than learning Chinese. GO to WCC!!!

I was going to go to HXGNY. But I heard they are not going to revise BYLAW. Hu Dapeng, Liu Yawen, Li Shengjing, Zhou Qing, Lei Minghui, Guogang and Yang Paiwen are going to be in the BOARD. I decided to go to WCC. I want to elect for the BOARD. With these thugs on stage, there will be no fair election for the parents.

楼上的请勿暴怒。我本不爱招惹是非。一是晓京老师的指责实在离事实和公正太远，我于心不安。 班上按老师要求改作文是common practice, 以此攻击一个家长是不公平的；二则大人打架，把小孩拖来陪打，实在超出我做人底线，我于心不忍。 我的陈述是否属实，你和晓京心知肚明。我有一说一，即使到法庭under oath, 我的话也不会改变。

2.如果您看好Lin/Yao的团队，那您就替娃去Lin/Yao的学校注册。如果您看好Dai/Cao的团队，那您就替娃去Dai/Cao的学校注册。
3.如果您想让您的娃读《标准中文》，那您就两边都注册，但在截止日期前暂时不要交学费。多了解，再决定。
4.如果您想让您的娃学《马立平中文》或《美洲华语》，那建议您选Lin/Yao的学校。因为分校以后，Dai/Cao 的学校可能因注册这两种教材的学生人数不足，而被迫取消开班。除非Dai团队的人公开声明不再歧视“矮马”和“瘸骡”。要想了解《标准中文》,《马立平中文》和《美洲华语》的教材特色，请参见附件1 《一家之言》

7.如果您相信您的娃很优秀，但您的娃是中途从其他中文学校转来，或您娃曾经在华夏中文学校跳过级，那建议您不要为娃选郑琦管教育的中文学校。除非Dai团队的人公开声明华夏中文学校的优秀学生评选不受学生跳级或转学的影响。要想了解其中详情，请参见附件3 《评郑琦女士对“优秀毕业生的评选标准”的质疑》。
8.如果您想当一名老师，并认同郑琦的“共同备课”法宝，那您可以去Dai/Cao的学校; 如果您想当一名老师，但认同“共同备课”与“独立备课”相结合，那您就去Lin/Yao的学校。除非Dai团队的人公开声明“共同备课”只是一个选项。有关“共同备课”与“独立备课”的优缺点，请参见附件4《论“共同备课”与“独立备课”》。

要是校章碍事，它还有一个改校章的老手，活改活用，急用先改，立竿见影，想怎么改就怎么改。改了校章还一定能让它通过，什么比率的投票结果都能造出来。
要是谁按校章办事，而校长不满意的话，他可要当心，那校长虽然没什本事，可是一个搞弹劾的高手。校长手下还有一个搞签名请愿的专家任副校长，想要多少人请愿，签名只多不少。
想学中文? 在这里你可以学到怎么说谎，编假新闻。假状元是如何炮制出来的。学校排名也不用耽心，管教育的人有拿＂第二＂的经验，拿了＂第二＂，那离＂笫一＂还远吗?

首先恭喜您如愿当上了校长，在位于Purchase的一家新开的中文学校主持工作。现在威郡地区又多出一家中文学校，中文教育得以在竞争里不断提高教学质量，是选校家长的一件幸事。
新校开张，你们“借壳上市”的迫切心情，我可以理解。然而，君子爱财，取之有道。如果窃取别人的劳动成果，作为自己招生敛财的手段，就令人遗憾了。我刚访问过贵校网站，发现你们把原属于华夏纽约的《小语世界》，作为你们新校的“Older Student Corner Editions ”。
万万没料到，我们博览班在纽约华夏WCC校园一年的辛勤付出，被你们的新校，轻易地剽窃了成果，成为贵校网站的广告内容。你们如此误导选校家长，给自己拉生源，这不仅严重侵权，也是极不道德的竞争手法！
去年，我在六年级博览班执教，现在依然留任在纽约华夏WCC校园。上学年，我班的学生十分努力，家长也积极配合，孩子们写下了不少习作。为了编辑孩子的作文，我付出了大量的精力和时间。多数学生把作文写在作业本上，我不仅要做电脑文字输入，还要修改错别字及语法错误，很多习作包含着我的心血。我个人的劳动付出，居然被贵校利用，用以招徕学生。我表示强烈的抗议和愤慨！
林骏先生，去年您女儿在我的班上，她是少数几个提供电子版作文的孩子，她说一些文章是您代笔的，所以请撤出您自己的那份知识产权，把凝聚着我班学生、家长和老师心血的“六年级博览班习作选”，从你的网站上撤下来，立即停止侵权行为。
你们网站上，把老校的《小语世界》做为招徕学生的成果。去年《小语世界》总共27期，其中有11期发表了我班学生的作品，多数为《六年级博览班专刊》。被贵校侵权的我班习作集，出现在《小语世界》的 21期、22期、19期、18期、17期、15期、14期、12期、第10期、第9期、第7期等。在家长的帮助下，这些习作已编了eBook《凭海临风-纽约华裔儿童习作选》。
可是，家长们没想到摘桃子的黑手，居然来自Purchase的一所新开的中文学校。你们虽然在校名前面加一个“大”（大纽约华夏），可是做事怎么就“小”气呢？
请贵校同仁先学做人，再学做事，最后再忽悠所谓的“教书育人”。
《我们为什么签署“分校协议”？》 -- 四位董事联名宣言

近日，我们与胡大鹏、刘雅文及另外三位董事，通过律师签署了《分校协议》。这项协议陆续得到很多家长的谅解和支持，因为这些家长看到，分校是目前唯一可行的理性选择，它可以尽快结束争斗，确保九月份按时开学。如果官司继续拖下去，高昂的律师费会将彻底拖垮华夏；如果官司悬而未决，会搞瘫正常的教学进程，殃及学生和家长的利益！校园的安宁，才真正符合家长的利益。
这次，我们被迫卷入由对方发起的官司，它给我们及家人带来了精神和经济上的极大损失。如果不是出于对学校的热爱，我们不会坚持到现在！我们欣慰地看到，有能力的新校长和新会长，经过民主程序选了出来。然而，学校乱象依在，官司缠身，如果不把乱糟糟的房间打扫干净，那么新学年又将陷入争斗的泥沼。所以，既然对方已经拥有了他们名下的新校，那么我们不妨就分校吧。
然而，我们有必要回顾一下“分校协商”前后发生的事情： • 为了避免分校，我们曾做过大量的协商和让步。我们提议所有现在学校的领导都辞职，离开学校的领导位置，开学后直选董事会；但是，对方拒绝由会员“直选”管理人员的方案。
• 法官屡屡要求双方尽快协商, 结束诉讼，把注意力转回“教育”。
• 胡，刘，及另外三位董事，于7月初突然提出分校分钱，并且是“越快越好”，恨不得在一周之内就搞定. 甚至他们在未经我们的同意下(我方律师曾告知他们需事先取得我方同意)，于上周六发出PETITION IN SUPPORT OF SETTLEMENT OF LITIGATION，企图把分校的责任推给我们。
• 今年的教学秩序十分混乱。董事会经常因为不到法定人数而不能作出决议。教学质量下降，教师质量下降。校产亏损近五万元！
• 过去一年中，会员们被一次次拉去投票，包括教改公投, 两次新校章投票,校长和会长投票, 以及本学年结束的两周之后的弹劾董事长公投。然后在公益学校状告志愿者，为校产面临九万美元的损失种下了祸根！顺便澄清一下付给双方的律师费：虽然对方首先兴讼，我们也提出了反诉，结果双方同为被告。无论旧校章还是新校章，都同意承担被告方的律师费用，以保护学校的志愿者。
我们以上的告白，希望让家长清楚：学校的“和平”和“安宁”来之不易。明年的今天，或许人们已经淡忘为了和平所付出的代价。今年，我们出于公益和责任，为维护正常教学秩序，维护校章的尊严，在家长鼓励和支持下，我们做了不懈的努力。我们相信，在学校新一届管理团队的带领下，在老师和家长共同努力下，新华夏会在涅磐之中美丽重生！
我们郑重承诺：如果分校成功，我们在新学年学校正常运行后会全部辞职，按新校章选出董事会。在新校章里，我们建议加进去最重要的一条：“禁止在公益学校内部状告志愿者”。去年和今年，出现的校内人主动挑起官司诉讼志愿者的行径，摧毁了纽约华夏16年辛辛苦苦建起的大厦，以致它不得不走到“分校”的地步。
让我们向前看吧。新华夏的重建，是由一木一石叠筑起来。我们愿做这一木一石。亲爱的家长们，请加入我们，携手重建新华夏。今年九月份，老地方、老朋友、新朋友，多元的教学手段，丰富的文体活动，让我们重逢在WCC校园！

作为商学院的老师，您刚给家长们演示了一条生动的MBA案例，“如何巧夺别人的成果，又能避开法律的约束。”告诉您，老师和家长在公益学校无私奉献之时，本就没有名利心。如果不是你们的新校把他人的辛勤付出，当成自己招生敛财的手段，我不会站出来抗议，会继续甘做绿草，默默呵护学生的成长。你们这样巧取豪夺，会极大地污染华人社区的风气，以后志愿者行事会更加谨慎行事，生怕什么东西又被他人免费拿去挣钱了。

中国人的理想人格是“仰不愧于天，俯不怍于人”。我们在海外开办中文学校，不就是为了传承中华优秀的文化，培养文质彬彬、知书达理的华裔子弟吗？中国的先哲也告诫过，“为善无近名，为恶无近刑。” 一个社会要升华而不是堕落，要实现该实现的理想，守护该守护的价值。学校教育，应该要把培养人放第一，掌握知识技能其次。人文立本，才是成人之道！
然而，你们新开张的学校，究竟要传授什么呢？只传授技能，不传授道德吗？只以法律为行动指南，而背离道德和良知吗？ 身教胜于言教。花哨的招生广告下，其实掩盖不住干瘪的灵魂。
偶然看到一封信，写信者以龌龊语言攻击他人，居然还嚷嚷出“知道什么是华夏的精神吗？”显然，她也没答案，接着玩大脑裸奔，继续骂人。不过，我认真思考了“什么是华夏中文学校应该倡导的东西？”我的结论是：1）无私奉献的志愿者精神；2）公开透明的管理作风；3）鼓励团结协作。4）对任人唯亲说NO；5）远离讼棍和伪君子。

ReplyDeleteWe would like to take this opportunity to clarify some of the issues you have raised after receiving many competing advertising emails asking parents to pre-register for the fall.
A bitter dispute among our top school officials culminated in a lawsuit filed by the former principal Dapeng Hu and PC chair Yawen Liu against the 4 majority Board members. The 2 sides finally agreed to settle the dispute last week. Dapeng Hu, Yawen Liu and the 3 minority will depart to start a school of their own at a different location.
The name of our school is now Huaxia New York Central Chinese School (HXNYC or 华夏纽约中文学校WCC ).
We ARE the school that inherited the legal entity of the former HXNY which has been and will remain a not-for-profit organization with a 501(c)(3) status. We are the same school which, on June 17, elected the new principal Yang Dai and PC chair Liang Cao. As have been in the past 16 years, we will continue to operate at the WCC campus on Sunday mornings, offering 2 hours of Chinese language class and 1 hour of recreational/cultural class from 9:30 to 12:30.
We sincerely hope that you and your family will join us at WCC in the fall. We need one another to rebuild our community where educating our children takes top priority, where parents no longer have to choose sides. With your help, we will recover from the worst crisis in our school history. With your help, we will bring back a culture of trust, a spirit of volunteerism and camaraderie. They were not good teachers begin with. No matter what they teach, they are not good teachers. But they are good at fooling your kids.
I don't like the way people are declaring that they have the best teacher. But, I disagree with you. I do respect all teachers who are willing put their hearts on our kids, I do think most of MLP teachers we had are very good. I believe both schools will try their best to get good teachers.

DeleteI checked the new school website. HXGNY.org. It is adding content everyday, introduction, brochure,classes offered(language, culture), registration policy and so on. It seems a very capable team working hard on it. A modern, education focus, new school start to form at a nice campus. I am very excited for my kids.

Delete中纽约的师资太不給力。除了王庆红, 程立洁, 高硕菲, 周英一天书也没教过外，杨于民没有教学经验，赵红一年经验。王硕 也不过三年，陈璇四年经验。另外武术老师Kwan Shue Yiu 和象棋老师蒋明明已签约大纽约，中纽约还强行把他们放在网上误导家长！

这上面有的老师也许没有在华夏纽约教过, 楼上的如何知道人家就没有教过书? 你们查了人家过去的二十年吗? 说话不能这样不负责任. 说到王硕, 无论经验多少, 他是2012年总校优秀教师不假吧! 大家都有在家教孩子, 经验怎么说总是有点的. 我就知道有的人很有爱心和耐心,第一年就是很好的老师.
Delete本来华夏纽约老师都很好, 我很满意我孩子的所有老师. 但非要闹分家, 两校把大部分的精力在找老师上了, 当然师资力量就相对薄弱了, 吸收新的老师也是没办法, 但并不意味着新的老师就一定不好. 不要去攻击愿意做老师的人, 他们是为了学校和孩子们.
王硕的优秀教师咋得来的谁还不知道? 自己推荐自己，自己坐在委员会里也不避嫌，在那里盯着别人投票. 就这还好意思往外摆?

Delete华夏纽约十六年老店一分为二，诞生出华夏大纽约和华夏中纽约两个新生儿。作为家长，两校师资力量一直是我们关注的焦点。今天两校都贴出教师名单，看过之后觉得不吐不快。
ReplyDelete首先， 全体马力平、美洲华语和大部分标准中文教师都加盟华夏大纽约，让我们家长实实在在看到了师心所向。即使都说自己开三个教材，没有好的老师来落实，再美好的愿望也都是“水中花，镜中月”。
其次，看到华夏大纽约把老师背景都写得清清楚楚，咱看了踏实，即使新招的老师，也都是师范毕业，咱知道谁教了自己的娃。而华夏中纽约的华夏资深教师的称号给得太容易了吧？高硕菲，周英，程立洁，王庆红，她们 一天都没教过，也敢自称“华夏资深教师”，这不是坑人吗？你缺老师可以号召大家报名，我们都可以帮忙，但不能欺骗我们，耽误大家的娃！
最后，我们就算英文再不好，也知道Huaxia New York Central Chinese School的中文翻译不是华夏纽约at WCC吧？ 办一所学校需要的是踏踏实实一砖一瓦的建设，而育人则需要老师自身正直，才能以身作则。你们架打完了本该好好办学校啦，不想你们还是用你们惯用的欺骗手段来牺牲咱的娃。

However, if you want to make impact on other parents with their decisions, by all means using your own real name, NOT THE NONSENSE fake name!
I strongly condemn this unethical behavior and suggest that person stops doing this in future!
Agree. I was going to Greater New York. After I received the anonymous letter and I am so worried about the quality of the people/adults/parents there. So low and ugly. I decide not to go. Because it is more important to be a good human being than learning Chinese. GO to WCC!!!

刚看了HXGNY的老师简介，才意识到他们这些老师都没有美国文凭，在中国大学也不是学中文的，有的大学也没上过。只是在中文学校赚钱而已。忽悠谁哪？

别人我不了解，我的孩子上过马尔罕和洪学敏老师的课。两位老师都很好。在国内外都是常年搞教育。

没错。很多K班家长都想方设法地把小孩挤进马尔罕老师的班里。
Delete说话要有根据，别为了抢学生就乱泼污水。李谦云是华夏公认最好的马力平老师之一，教学带头人， 我小孩在她班上，上得非常好，大纽约签到她是非常幸运的。用谎言欺骗家长能混过一时，一但家长知道真相，会很快唾弃你的。即使勉强能再多呆一年，最终还是会向教学，师资力量强的学校流动，用谎言和恶意攻击是挡不住的。

I was going to go to HXGNY. But I heard they are not going to revise BYLAW. Hu Dapeng, Liu Yawen, Li Shengjing, Zhou Qing, Lei Minghui, Guogang and Yang Paiwen are going to be in the BOARD. I decided to go to WCC. I want to elect for the BOARD. With these thugs on stage, there will be no fair election for the parents.

瞎掰吧。这时候，大家都睁大眼睛在为自己的小孩挑个好学校。 除了李建任及他的铁杆，谁还记得这倒霉的BYLAW。要不是因为朱力强行推广这有争议的东东，学校还不至于走到分裂的地步。既然已经分了，就各找出路吧。为李建任的主义而牺牲小孩的机会，不值。当然，如果楼上是张兰，李晓京，李建任或他们的近亲之类，就当我没说了。哈哈。。
